Coconut oil Benefits

June is the start of our wintertime
Of hot veggie soups with sprigs of thyme,
Bright Fluffy slippers and rugging up tight
Snuggling doonas and blankets at night.
A royal salute for Elizabeth’s day
A holiday for us to relax, snooze and play,
Remember that throughout these cold winter days
Support your immune system in a personal way,
Garlic and Lemon, Honey and Rest
Take a walk and become less Stressed.

Coconut oil consistently improves the LDL: HDL ratio, which is the good to bad ratio in the blood, for those who consume it. Coconut oil is not a saturated fat which clogs the arteries, but a saturated fat, which can accelerate the loss of midsection fat (the most dangerous kind). Two human studies show just two tablespoons per day (30 ml), both men and women are capable of reducing belly fat within 1-3 months.

A study, published in the journal Neurobiology of Aging 2006, showed that the administration of 2 tablespoons of coconut oil associated with measurable cognitive improvement and showed changes in Alzheimer’s conditions. Coconut oil is shown to block out UV rays by 30% as UVA rays are damaging to the skin, whereas UVB rays are highly beneficial – when exposure is moderating endorphins and mimicking the effects of morphine.

Coconut oil has also been known to improve wound healing, inflammation, treatment for ulcers, head lice, fungus, enlarged prostrate and bone health

Coconut oil has been shown to reduce oxidative stress within the bone, which may prevent structural damage in osteoporotic bone.
