Human Beings NOT Human Doings

What do you do when life takes over
What do you do when times not enough
What do you do when demands are enormous
What do you do when there’s just too much stuff.
How do you start to stop and go slowly
How do you make some time for yourself
How do you fit in all that you need to
How do you cope when problems accrue.
Stop take a look at what is important
Stop and realise that most things can wait
Stop and prioritise what really does matter
Stop and don’t worry if some things are late.
Give time to yourself and develop your person
Give people who care a close special place
Create a quiet space and a safe secure haven
And try not to live your life in great haste.

Life gets very busy with what we do and how we fill in our time and life.
Whom AM I ? The Human Doing: Mother, Nonna, Friend, Therapist, Author, Poet, Animal Protector, Environmentalist, Teacher, Vegan, Pianist, Salsa Dancer, Talker, Carer, Traveller, Researcher, Card player, Reader, Movie Lover, Walker, Pilates Attender and Aqua Aerobics Participant. I work, write, study, learn, attend seminars, conferences, present talks and professional trainings. This is what I DO.

I walk my grand dog on the beach, go salsa dancing, do Pilates, read books on my IPad , play games on my IPhone, watch TV, do puzzles, go to the movies, research client conditions and illnesses and investigate travel destinations and adventures which I may wish to take. This is what I DO.

I spend time with friends, talking on the phone, catching up for brunch, lunch and dinner, celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other major events, connect with my children through WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and visiting them. This is what I DO. This is NOT WHO I AM.

Who are YOU without your Doings, Who are You?

However, we engage in Human Doing to stay occupied, showing ourselves to be needed and a part of something greater. Yet what is our purpose in this life? What is the responsibility we have to ourselves?

We were born to become the best Person that we can be. The most amazing, unique and fully grown adult human that is possible for us to become. Developing our gifts and talents to their fullest and yet still giving ourselves time to be kind, thoughtful and compassionate to ourselves.

Being a Human Doing is a way to experience life and rationally gives ourselves reasons and objectives as to why we are important. However, we need to understand that we have value simply because we exist. It is through the adversity, harder time’s and struggles that we show our true fortitude, strength and compassion. You cannot compare yourself to others, as there is no one exactly like you: YOU ARE UNIQUE.

Never criticize yourself for the decisions you have made or the life you have lived, as these are what create the person you are today and the past CANNOT be changed.
Look forward and if you want change, change your behaviour, if you want a different life, change your decisions, and if you want a different future, change your path.
You are the guardian of your Power, don’t give it away, Guard it, develop it & step into it.
